A short list of things that make me feel old (but I keep on doing them):
- Checking infusion time on a tea bag.
- Examining my skin from very close by (that morning face in the mirror, when I slept less than six hours).
- Being back from a party at 21:00 and feeling happy about it.
- Measuring blood pressure, knowing the healthy range.

I closed the door behind another social media account. I will not be instantly sharing new work, neither will I be up to date with lives of people I used to follow, but honestly: so what?
To paraphrase the famous quote: “If I want to know what is going on with you, I will call. If I don't have your number then that means I don't know you well enough to have to know what is going on with you.”
I am not worried about photography – I am actually looking forward to creating without pressure of having to feed the whimsical maw of the algorithm. I will invest time saved on scrolling in… staring into the clouds.

The best cure for a sleepless night is my dog's warm, furry body, rising and descending in steady breathing. I tiptoe downstairs and lay a hand on his side.
I bet my dog would tell you a similar story. When he cannot sleep (because of a thunder storm, for example), he quietly climbs the stairway and stretches himself out along my bed. I reach out and lay a hand on his side.
